DOCTORS PLAYMATE
1981 Bay Mare

Playmate is one of our top riding mares, and has had a great career in team penning and sorting. Her five-year-old daughter by Haidas Little Pep is one of the best we have ever had, and her youngest by Rum Squall is racking up the NCHA money. Playmate is pictured here at 25.

ROCK CREEK HOLLY
1982 Bay

Rock is a world show penner, and is a maternal half sister to AQHA, NRHA and NRCHA show horses.  Rock has produced AQHA point and NCHA money earners by Docs Oak, Travalena and others. Her 2002 filly by Miss N Cash is for sale. Her 2004 colt by Haidas Little Pep just finished cutting training with Jason Olsen  in Canada foaled a 2006 red dun filly by Slydun Haida. She is pictured here at age 25 and 26. Rock is currently teaching a child to ride and loving every minute of it.

WILSONS FOXY GAL
1994 Sorrel

Foxy is the quintessential cutting horse--as tall as she is wide, but with all the moves you can imagine her pedigree would provide.  Her first foal is a 2005 colt by High Brow Hickory, and she foaled a 2006 dun gelding by Sly that is for sale and will head to the trainers later this summer. Her 2007 sorrel filly by Sly is for sale. She is in foal to Sly for 2009.

DIABLOS YOUNG GUN
2000 Sorrel

Diablo is an outstanding young mare, with a lot of cow sense, a great handle and the athleticism to do anything you ask of her.  Her first two stud colts by High Brow Hickory were the quickest sellers of their seasons.  Diablo foaled a beautiful sorrel filly on April 20, 2007, and repeated that production in 2008. Diablo is in foal to Buffalo Ranch's Highlight Cat for 2009.  See him at Highlight Cat

UPDATE:  Both of Diablo's first two foals, High Brow Desperado and Young N High have made her a producer this summer.  High Brow Desperado is now a NRCHA $$ earner and Young N High just earned his first NCHA $$.

GDA PLAYBOYS MELODY
1998 Sorrel

Melody has been a nice surprise for us.  Her 2004 filly by High Brow Hickory (who is in foal to Blue Bayou Boon for her new owners) and her 2005 filly by Smart Little Rondee (now living in Canada) were the top fillies of their foal crops, and her 2006 and 2007 geldings by Slydun Haida are drop dead gorgeous.  We have very high hopes for her get; the two geldings are for sale. Melody foaled a gorgeous red dun filly on March 1, 2008.  Melody is for sale with her new filly, and is bred back for a 3 in 1 package.  Inquire for details.

BLUESTEM COWGIRL
2001 Sorrel

Hotrod brings a little different blood to our program, but it is certainly paying off in size and substance.  Her 2005 colt by Slydun Haida is really developing in training with Fritch Reining Horses, and her 2006 filly by Slydun Haida is flourishing in her new barrel home, as is her gorgeous 2007 dun filly. Her 2005 gelding has just returned from reining training and is for sale. She foaled a pretty sorrel filly on March 30,  2008, and is bred back to Sly for 2009.

MIDNIGHTS HASTY JANE
2001 Sorrel

Snap foaled her first Slybaby on May 15. Snap's  maternal half sister is the great Justaswinging Jane, NCHA Non Pro Derby Champion and earner or more than $100,000. Snap's dam line offers some great blood that we are excited to see infused into our program, particularly that of Janey Durante, an excellent producing mare that is a full sister to Doc's Oak and Doc's Solano. Snap foaled a dun filly in 2007 and a sorrel colt in 2008 and is being bred back to Sly for 2009.  Her 2007 and 2008 foals are for sale.

CARDANITA
1981 Brown

Nita is one of the grand dams of our program.  Now retired from breeding, we have only one of her daughters (by High Brow Hickory) left, who will likely enter the broodmare band, but is available for sale.  Nita is a multiple NCHA  producer, with several money-winning foals by Docs Hickory, Smart Little Uno and High Brow Hickory, and her powerful genetics are now producing several generations of cutters.

SQUEAK SEEKER
1993 Chestnut

Squeak is one of our favorites, who has given us the highlight of this year's crop. She is the dam of a 2005 chestnut filly by Lil Lenas Peppy, who just returned from training and is available for sale. Squeak foaled a stunning red dun filly by Sly in May, 2008, and is in foal to Peppy Plays for Cash for a May,  2009 baby.  See him at Center Ranch.

PLANNINTOGETLUCKY
2002 Sorrel

Fuzzy is one of the very last daughters of Smart Plan, and has been a farm favorite since her birth. Combining cow and speed lines seems to have paid off in her, and her first foal, a red dun filly by Slydun Haida born in May, 2006, suggests we did something right. Fuzzy foaled a carbon copy of last year's dun filly on May 2, 2007. She is open for 2009, as she has recently been started under saddle. Fuzzy is for  sale. Please inquire for price.

ZANS ENTERPRISE
2000 Dun

Xanadu represents a departure from our straight cutting breeding, and offers a little versatility to our program. She is a solid willing ride that takes care of her rider. Her pedigree suggests that she will produce a foal that should excel in reining, roping, and cow events, and so far the results are bearing that out. Her conformation lends itself to longevity and strength. Xan's 2005 gelding by Slydun Haida is riding well, and is for sale. Xan  foaled a red dun colt on March 20, that we unfortunately lost.  She is bred back for 2009 and we would consider selling her. 

KINDALUCKY
1984 Sorrel

Lucky is a retired barrel racer that produces an attention-getter every time (such as Plannintogetlucky, above, and KindaSly, on the geldings page).  She too adds an element of versatility to our program, and her foals can do anything you put to them.  Her 2005 gelding by Slydun Haida is for sale. She foaled a classy sorrel filly April 12, 2007, and is now retired from breeding to live a life of leisure.

LENAS LECTRIC GYRO
1994 Sorrel

Gyro is a finished reiner that has consistently produced outstanding foals.  Her first five were by Jacspin, and she has since been bred to Slydun Haida.  Her 2005 gelding is for sale.  See photos from her performance at the 2006 National High School Finals Rodeo on the Fun Photos page. Gyro had a red dun filly sired by Slydun Haida on March 27, 2007, and a repeat in  2008.  Both fillies are for sale. Gyro is taking some time off to teach a child the finer details of riding.

UPDATE:  Gyro's daughter, Gyro Jaci, has earned her Amateur ROM.  Congrats!

Her 2004 Slybaby is doing great in her new home, and being shown in 4-H classes by her new owner.

ARISTAGAL

Aries is our newest addition.  We are glad to have a daughter of Smart Little Lena's top son to cross on Sly, especially one with the strong bottom side Aries brings to our program.  Her first foal is a red dun colt by Sly, born in April 2008, and he is for sale.  Aries is in foal to Meradas Blue Sue for 2009.  You can see him at Meradas Blue Sue

High Brow Gypsy was injured in cutting training early in her two year old year and has recovered well. She foaled her first Slybaby, a stunning bay filly, in April 2008 and is bred back to Boonsmal Cee Lena for 2009.  See him at Boonsmal Cee Lena

Cash has done well with everything ever asked of her, and takes to new situations well.  Cash is one of the most personable horses we have ever had. Her top side makes her a strong outcross to most of today's cutting horses, while still staying with tried and true genetics. She is in foal to Slydun Haida for 2009, but is for sale.
